Cancellation Policy

Affordable Healthcare Options (“AHCO”) does not provide refunds in any circumstances. However, AHCO has outlined specific conditions whereby our members may cancel the contract with the company without fulfilling the full term of payments. The MaternityCard Plan contract guarantees to save its members, in medical related expenses, in excess of the cost of the plan or AHCO will pay our members the difference, and pay our members $200 and provide our members with our benefits package for 1 year. Our guarantee provision, therefore, provides specific relief to our members for any lack of performance related to savings. In addition, as disclosed to all members at the time of enrollment, AHCO has recorded the terms of the agreement for your protection and for ours through our Third-Party Recorded Phone Verification.

These terms are as follows:

  1. The term of the contract is for a 12 month period, membership is month-to-month thereafter and members may cancel at any time after the 11 th monthly payment.
  2. Member authorizes AHCO to charge their account for an initial fee and eleven monthly payments.
  3. All payments are non-refundable
  4. Members may not contact the physician’s billing office or hospital billing office for the purpose of negotiating the bill before our Patient Advocacy Team (PAT) has contacted those offices.
  5. If savings don’t exceed the yearly membership fees, members will receive the difference AND an additional $200 and keep the benefits for an additional 12 months at no additional charge.
  6. Our program is NOT insurance and the member understand they are buying a membership which allows access preferred provider network and negotiated rates.

AHCO reviews cancellation request on the 1 st and 3 rd Friday of the month and will respond by Friday of the next week. The following are reviewable circumstance to cancel the agreement.

  • Member receives government grants, Medicaid or charity aid (must be documented)
  • Member receives, either directly or through a family member, health insurance with maternity benefits over $2,000 (must be document with copy of policy)
